Marlboro incorporated in 1868 and doubled in size over the next decade. It had been the site of many famous skirmishes during the Revolutionary War between British and Colonial soldiers.
Following World War II, New Jersey was supported by the Federal Government to extend, expand, and improve local infrastructure. Arterial roadways began to fan out, connecting the agricultural settlement of Marlboro to nearby cities including New York City and even Philadelphia.
This shift gradually transformed the area from a rural to a suburban community as its population continued to boom into the late 20th Century!
Today, Marlboro is known for its warm citizenry, award winning schools, economic prominence, and its incredible historical narrative!
